Also picked up a hammer and tongs while I was there, so I’m officially ready to start learning! James is a wonderful guy and he chatted with me for a while about the craft and the North Texas blacksmithing community. As Doug said, your gonna need forced air and as I said just above this, forced air and forging temperatures are gonna go through wood very quickly- requiring a lot of fuel.
